Scary Previews

Introducing the Scary Scotland books... stories of real places and not-quite-so-real events... featuring characters that come uncomfortably close to reality.

NEW JANUARY 2003! The Ghosts in Dovecot Road - read a Scary Scotland short story in full!
(You need Adobe Acrobat for this)

Publication news and extracts from some of the stories to follow
The Ghosts of Cammo Waverley didn't want to go looking for brambles with his Aunt Brenda and her creepy friend Olive. But it was either that or watch the world tiddlywinks championship with his Dad. He certainly didn't expect to meet the scary Black Widow of Cammo or the even scarier Holly that afternoon...now read on!
The Hermit of Braid Holly returns to the Hermitage of Braid to prove to herself that it isn't scary... but she doesn't realise she and Waverley are about to disturb the Hermit himself.
Guardians of the Forth The discovery of the Cramond lioness leads to unexpected consequences for Holly, Waverley and Gary, who encounter a time slip that takes them back into history,,, and then further back.
The Ghost Cruise Waverley's painting wins him a Ghost Cruise on the canal - and the chance to meet some famous bodysnatchers in person.
Bonnybridge, Centre of the Universe The strange other-worldly Fantasia leads Gary to the place where the UFOs come - not realising Holly and Waverley are going to be on board!
The Five Sisters of Doom A visit to a shopping centre seems a safe enough way to spend the afternoon - until the rain starts, and then nothing is quite the same again.
